But wait!! Don't just call someone from your coupon book and give them the job because the discounts seems so good. Talk with your friends or family and see if they can refer you someone they had a good experience with. If that doesn't work, look on the internet for someone in your area and see if you can view comments from some of their clients. If someone had a bad experience you will be happy you did your research.
When you do find someone your comfortable with, ask them some questions:
- How long have you been cleaning air ducts?
- Ask them if they can show you the inside of your ducts with a video camera to see if they are really that dirty.
- Ask them what their process is and exactly what they are going to do.
- Are they insured and can you see copy of their insurance certificate?? Just because someone says they are insured doesn't mean they are. Get a copy and make sure it is up to date.
- When they give you the estimate, ask them if their are any hidden costs??
When the job is complete, ask them if you can look at each component they cleaned to verify it was done properly. You can verify again with a video camera to look up into the ducts. Don't be shy because you are paying good money to have this service completed.
Lastly, if you are happy with the service write a short testimonial so they can put it in their Brag book. Many times service providers use a testimonial to close the next job.
